One time for the city we had to re route a drainage pipe cause that same thing was happening. It stunk! mostly because they made us put it under the side walk, but we could not destroy the side walk and had to dig under it. It was a pain. Thats good that yall are getting allot of rain. From what Ive heard yall need it!This past week I had another chance to go with the Spanish elders in the area. That is always a blast! I got to see a couple of my favorite members. Some of which I had helped reactivate. That was special. Then we taught one of their new investigators. She has 8 kids! Those elders are very blessed in their work. But we are also very blessed. The main part of the week did not have anything cool to report, but the weekend was great! On Friday evening we went out with on of our members and visited some less actives in the ward. One of the families we visited is also a former investigator. The wife is not a member, but they love the missionaries. While we were there we were talking to them and the less active dad made the comment that he needs to start getting active again so he can be part of scouts. So of course we let our bishop know that! Then across the street is another less active man. He answered the door and he had a strong spirit about him. He told us he knows the LDS church is the true church, but his wife is a devote baptist and he does not want to create tension in the home. He told us how people have tried to get him to change and take away his testimony but he knows with out a doubt this is the truth. He wants to have us over for dinner in 2 weeks, so thats a great step!On Saturday we had the best lesson ever with Sam and Janet! So we came to find out in the week that another family in the ward knows them as well. So they invited them over to their house to have the lesson. First I have to say we did not tell this family about them, they just found out and went out of the way to set up the appointment for us! We meet at their house and taught the first part of the restoration out of the pamphlet and then we moved to the other room to watch the Restoration video with them to explain the story of Joseph Smith. The spirit was so strong the whole time. I love teaching the Restoration, my testimony of it is so strong and I love sharing it with everyone. Then on Sunday one of our investigators came to church for the first time! Her name is kayla. She could not stay the whole time, because she is one of our members nurses. So she had to head back to her. But it was really cool to see her there for the first time. Hopefully she liked it!That wraps up this week!Con Mucho AmorElder Lamb

This week we saw some Awesome blessings! we got to do service like 4 times! Which is cool cause we NEVER do service! The best experience we had (you'll love this) was on Wednesday. One of our members gave us a call and asked if we had any time to do some service. Were like "ya, we are actually heading down that way to move some stuff for someone. We can stop by after." He told us his neighbor had a big pile of dirt he needed to move and it was only the two of them (they are both older men) we said sure! so we came over in our service cloths. but this pile of dirt was not just big, it was HUGE! so we spent from 5:30 till 8:30 moving this miny mountain. I think I went through the gate of his fence about 200 times. Needless to say I was basically dead. But the blessing was is the whole time our member and us were able to talk about somethings in the church and just about it. It was so special. Our member told us he has been working on them for 15 years! then at the end the Guy (Sam) said "I owe yall one" our member responded " well the price for their service is you invite them back and listen to what they have to say" he agreed. So Friday night we went back to his home. Him and his wife were waiting for us. So we sat down with them and our members and started teaching the Plan of Salvation. We were just going to do the restoration, but they kept talking about a grand daughter of theirs that past away. So we changed our plans. The lesson went well and she had SO many good questions and was just eating it up. Then they invited us back for this coming Saturday! they could not make it to church because they already had mothers day plans, but this week we will get them :)Con Mucho AmorElder Lamb

Short week!Sorry for the shortness of this email. We just found out we have to go help people move. so this is going to be short.this week went by very quick. on Tuesday we had our Mission Leadership Council meeting. It went very well. It was very inspirational and well planned. At the end of the week we had some great miracles! on Thursday we went on a team up with our mission president. We where able to get in with a new move in family. The have a handicap daughter as does our mission president. It was a very special experience. We also knocked on two doors with him and had AMAZING experiences. We were able to give away two Book of Mormons and our president invited on of the men to be baptized. It was cool. Then while out knocking a angel lead us to a home. Literally an Angel! a little girl came running down the street and up to her front door and said. "are you going to talk to my mommy" we were like "sure" we wern't going to knock that door but we did. we ended up having a good conversation and are going back on Tuesday!we were also able to get two people to church yesterday. The lord truly blessed us this week.Con Mucho AmorElder Lamb

The week of trial and revelation...This week was very hard week for the work, but I dont think I have learned and grown at any point in my mission than I have than in this week.It all started this past Monday when we had dinner at the shaw's home. The shaw's are an older couple in the ward. They asked how much time we had left in the mission. My comp has about 10 months and I have less than 4. So of course the question every old missionary gets "so what are you going to do when you get home?" "are you going to go to school?" I said i was going to, but not right when I get home. Because I get home Thursday and school starts Monday. Then brother Shaw started telling the story of him going home and how he had 7 days between getting home and going to school. He also started talking about the importance of getting into a schedule when you go home. He said it is then that you will be tested. to see if the habits you had on your mission are yours or only something you did on you mission. Such as studding the scriptures, giving service, sharing the gospel, attending church, etc. The whole time he was talking the spirit was there, testifying that everything he was saying was true and that it was stuff I needed to evaluate. It was very powerful and I from that point decided to make changes and re-decide what I want to do. So i got to start getting collage papers in order!then as the week went on it was a great test of faith the whole time, just trusting that if we did what we needed to do blessings would come. on Friday we were able to get in with Delon and briefly go over the plan of salvation. It was a very short and powerful lesson. He is not yet on date but very soon.Sunday was the best day of the week i think. We had a very good sacrament meeting, one of the talks was on faith and hope and she shared very enlightening words and comments. we also had the very special chance to teach the primary! we taught the restoration in sharing time, it was a very good experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. the evening how ever was the best part. So the night before we had prayed very earnestly to know which members to visit so we could get a referral of someone to teach. It started with our dinner. we decided to share about being a successful missionary. the members wife shared her true feelings about being a missionary. She said for the past 60 years she has been trying to share the gospel and nobody has ever been baptized or progressed far from her efforts. she said she felt like she was just a seed planter. We were able to testify of how the seed planters are just as important as the harvesters. I learned in that moment the importance of just planting seeds and If thats all we do we should be proud. Then we went to another members and he ended up sharing with us how he has had testimony problems. he goes to church but admitted he does not read from the Book of Mormon like he should. In that lesson I learned many thing that I cant explain, but i know half the reason we were there was so I could hear what was said. as we were driving home we were kinda bummed because we did not get a referal, and right as we said that the phone rang. It was a member telling us they had a friend who was very interested in taking the missionary lessons and learning more. though we did not get the referral in the way we thought we would it still came none the less. If we do what we feel inspired to do the Lord will bless us.Se que esta es la obra del Senor, no lo mioCon Mucho AmorElder LambP.s. thanks for all the birthday wishes!
